  • Funds for advance fees or retainers are deposited into a North Carolina State Bar–approved trust account and transferred only as earned.
  • If a refund is due (e.g., overpayment or unearned retainer), it will be processed promptly through the original payment method unless otherwise required by law.
  • Transaction errors or duplicate payments must be reported within five (5) business days of discovery.|
